When an Artist Marries a Lifeguard

Welcome to Ocean Groovy, a creative collision between high tides and good design. We are Anne and John, a husband-and-wife duo making waves from the Jersey Shore. Since 2007, Ocean Groovy has matured from being a surf cam, a thrift shop, and is now an artist driven print on demand store with unique, one-of-a-kind graphic designs

The Artist: With a degree in Art, Anne is the creative engine. She takes the abstract feelings of the beach—the salt spray, the neon lights, the deep blue—and turns them into the designs you see here.

The Lifeguard: A veteran guard, John provides the inspiration. He pulls from years of scanning the water, referencing historical maritime events, and curating the deep-cut pop culture references that true ocean lovers appreciate.

The Family: Raising our children here has brought our journey full circle. Seeing the ocean through their eyes—full of wonder and excitement—keeps our inspiration fresh and reminds us why we love this lifestyle so much.

What We Do: We don't just sell beach scenes. We create homages to the full ocean experience:
